Overview
One system for the everyday work of running your accounts
Awanya Accounts covers the tasks a small or growing business handles every week: selling, buying, paying, getting paid and understanding the numbers.
Each of those tasks is connected to a proper double-entry ledger in the background, so your reports reflect what actually happened — without re-keying the same information.
What you can do
- Prepare quotations and convert accepted ones into invoices
- Issue sales invoices and record customer payments against them
- Enter supplier bills and record supplier payments
- Record expenses with VAT against the right account
- Keep track of multiple cash and bank accounts
- Review profit & loss, balance sheet and VAT summary reports
- Download invoices, quotations and reports as PDFs
How it connects
Business transactions become accounting records
Awanya Accounts is more than a set of separate forms. When a transaction is finalised, the matching journal entry is created for you and your reports update from the ledger.

Accounting foundation
A configurable accounting engine
Instead of hard-coding account numbers throughout the software, Awanya Accounts works with business concepts such as sales revenue, VAT payable and accounts receivable.
Each concept is mapped to an account in the company's own chart of accounts. When a transaction is posted, the engine looks up the mapped account — so the accounting logic stays consistent while the chart of accounts remains the company's own.
ACCOUNTS_RECEIVABLE- maps to Accounts receivable
SALES_REVENUE- maps to Sales revenue
VAT_OUTPUT_PAYABLE- maps to VAT output payable
ACCOUNTS_PAYABLE- maps to Accounts payable
VAT_INPUT_RECOVERABLE- maps to VAT input recoverable
Balanced by design
Every journal must have equal debits and credits before it can be posted.
Posted once
Each invoice, bill, payment or expense creates exactly one journal entry, even if a request is repeated.
History preserved
Posted entries are never edited or deleted. Corrections are made with a reversing entry.
VAT & UAE businesses
VAT-aware workflows, built with UAE businesses in mind
VAT is part of the everyday transaction flow in Awanya Accounts rather than a separate calculation at the end of the period.
VAT on every relevant line
Invoices, supplier bills and expenses carry a VAT rate per line, including standard and zero-rated items.
Historic figures stay fixed
The VAT rate and amount are saved with each transaction, so later rate changes never alter past documents.
VAT summary for review
Output and input VAT by rate for any period, cross-checked against the VAT accounts in the ledger.
The VAT summary is a report for internal review. It is not a VAT return and is not submitted to the tax authority. Awanya Accounts is not certified or approved by the UAE Federal Tax Authority, and each business remains responsible for its own VAT filings — we recommend working with a qualified tax adviser.
Access & security
The right access for each person on your team
Several people can work in Awanya Accounts at the same time, each with a role that matches their responsibilities.
Permissions enforced on the server
Access rules are checked by the application itself, not just hidden in the interface.
Secure sign-in
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and sessions use short-lived access tokens.
Company data kept separate
Each company's records are isolated from every other company using the system.
